God's great love...

something that has been ongoing among my family and relatives reminded me of God's love.. i think many families have sort of went through that too.. choosing to forgive and embrace a son/daughter who has chosen a wrong path in their lives..

parents choose to forgive their children for whatever mistakes that they have made and take them back home with no strings attached cos of their love for them.. God who created us and loves us so dearly did the same for us too.. how great is the love God has for each and everyone.. looking at what He did, you will know..

we sinned and are still sinning against God.. sin is anything ranging from jealous thoughts, anger to murder.. God hates sin very much.. and yet He chose to forgive us, watch over us and pursue after us.. to the point that He can't stand the separation any longer and neither does He wants us to keep struggling to reach to Him through other means that are futile.. so He sent Jesus, His one and only Son to die on the cross for our sins.. and Jesus resurrected after 3 days.. so that our relationship with God is bridged back again and we can have a life, life to the full..

that shows how much He loves us.. so much more than our parents can ever love us.. He chose to have compassion on us to forgive whatever we have done to sin against Him.. His grace (giving us what we don't deserve) and mercy (not giving us what we deserve) make us anew..

"9 "Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!"

- Matthew 7:9-11 -

"8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast."

- Ephesians 2:8-9 -

"1 Praise the LORD, O my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

2 Praise the LORD, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits-

3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,

4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,

5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

6 The LORD works righteousness
and justice for all the oppressed.

7 He made known his ways to Moses,
his deeds to the people of Israel:

8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love.

9 He will not always accuse,
nor will he harbor his anger forever;

10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.

11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;

12 as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

13 As a father has compassion on his children,
so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;

14 for he knows how we are formed,
he remembers that we are dust.

15 As for man, his days are like grass,
he flourishes like a flower of the field;

16 the wind blows over it and it is gone,
and its place remembers it no more.

17 But from everlasting to everlasting
the LORD's love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children's children-

18 with those who keep his covenant
and remember to obey his precepts.

19 The LORD has established his throne in heaven,
and his kingdom rules over all.

20 Praise the LORD, you his angels,
you mighty ones who do his bidding,
who obey his word.

21 Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts,
you his servants who do his will.

22 Praise the LORD, all his works
everywhere in his dominion.
Praise the LORD, O my soul."

- Psalm 103 -

God, thank You for loving me..

love,
Naomi
