encouragement...

everyone needs encouragement.. agree? lol.. if you don't agree, you are either bluffing yourself or you just can't put down your ego ba.. haha.. encouragement is oxygen to the soul.. something you cannot do without whether is it from God, Himself or from the people around you..
so what exactly is encouragement? encouragement is spurring one another on and speaking the truth in love.. just a reminder for those who think encouraging means only cheering the person on and forgot about feedback-ing to the person so he/she can really change for his/her own good..

for me.. encouragements from people really keeps me going.. really.. i think i would have given up on a lot of things if not for the encouragement from God and the people around me.. as i am encouraged, i want to encourage others on too..

so there you go..

there is definitely gonna be challenges ahead in our lives cos God didn't promise us that life is going to be a bed of rose after receiving Him into our lives.. but He gave us a even better one.. He promises us His presence, providence, deliverance, joy, peace, strength, etc.. and the list goes on..

so as we go through the tough times, rough patches, trials and temptations, etc.. where do we choose to look? God or circumstances? where you choose to look is going to make a huge difference.. the diagram below illustrates it out..



if you choose to focus on God and magnify Him, then you know that nothing is impossible with Him.. but if you choose to focus on the circumstances, then you will only find despair and miss out God in the pic..

actually looking to the cross or looking to God is simply by going to God in prayer telling Him our anxieties (Philippians 4:6-7) knowing that He is in control.. and letting others know and let them encourage you and pray for you (1 Thessalonians 5:11)..

"6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

- Philippians 4:6-7-

" 11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing."

- 1 Thessalonians 5:11 -

recall the blessings in your life and the experiences where God delivered you through difficult times.. even until now and forever, He will still deliver you through the circumstances.. also be reminded of God's love for us and claim His promises for each of us.. there are 6000 over promises from God in the bible.. can you imagine if you claim everything? lol.. you will be super prosperous in God's Kingdom..
