dirty laundries...

have you ever washed your own clothes with your own hands before? i just recently found some parallels between clearing up dirty laundries, and making sense of our lives and clearing up of our inner mess.. while washing my clothes.. lol.. so here we go..

we will always have things to make sense at the end of everyday and some mess inside us that we need to clean up.. just like we all have dirty laundries to clear everyday rite? then when we choose not to clear them, they get piled up.. in the same way, if we choose not to clear up our inner mess and make sense of our lives, they get piled up inside us too.. they will affect our lives, no matter how good we are at containing them within us.. (even though dirty laundries don't really affect our lives much, except for the fact that we will have less clothes to wear or recycle with, :P).. wait until the day that you want to clear them up, you will be so turned off by just looking at the mountains of 'dirty laundries' you have accumulated thus far.. it is physically draining to clear up just one bucket of clothes.. imagine having to clear 5 or more at one go? what more to say when it comes to clearing our inner mess.. we will surely be drained emotionally and mentally.. having to relive the emotions and recall whatever that have happened.. to a point, you might just give up cos there is really too much things to clear.. then it becomes a vicious cycle all over again..

coming to another side of it.. there are clothes that are harder to wash as compared to the others.. for example, the dye of cloth will sip when soaked in water or materials that need special treatment, etc.. thus people might have the tendency to avoid washing them or wearing them in the first place.. just as there are some issues in our lives that we find it too painful to face so we avoid clearing them or we just simply bury them up.. but in both cases (whether is it clearing dirty laundries or our inner mess), we forgot that if we avoid, we will never learn.. if it is because we don't know how to go about it, then we should seek God and seek biblical counsel (in the case of washing, ask experts on how to go about it).. if it is too painful, take it slowly, one step at a time.. clear each of them with God.. no one is rushing you.. and remember God is there to comfort you..

"8Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 10That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

~2 Corinthians 12:8-10~

let always remember to clear our dirty laundries and inner mess everyday, Amen? :)

God's grace is sufficient for me...whee..

Love,
Naomi
